TDX is a coating process ideally suited for severe metal forming applications. The TDX coating is applied in a molten salt bath resulting in a very uniform and smooth layer of carbides. The TDX carbides are metallurgically bonded to the tooling resulting in extremely high adhesion strength and peel resistance. With a hardness value of 4200 Vickers, the TDX coating can greatly extend the life of manufacturing tooling. Click here for the process sheet.
